The Guatemalan Consular Identification Card is a document approved by the Government of Guatemala. It is only issued to Guatemalan citizens living abroad. The General Consulates of Guatemala and the Consular Section of the Embassy of Guatemala in the United States is issuing this document since August 15, 2002.

The Guatemalan Consular Identification Card is not a travel document neither refers to the migratory status of bearer.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A CONSULAR ID CARD

 • Present on of the following: Passport, Cédula de Vecindad or a birth certificate from Guatemala and one photocopy.

You have to provide the following information:

 • Full name, current address, current telephone number.

 • Delivery address

 • Applicant signature

 • This process is strictly personal.

 • COST: $ 25.00 in exact cash or money order

 The General Consulate of Guatemala in Atlanta will not be responsible if the delivery address you provide is not correct.
